Welcome to Be Seen Eyewear. By accessing our website or visiting one of our practices, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms are designed to ensure a clear understanding of the services we provide and how we support you as a patient and customer.
Eye examinations & fees
Be Seen Eyewear offers bulk billed comprehensive eye examinations for eligible patients through Medicare.
Additional diagnostic tests and scans may be recommended by your optometrist as part of your eye health assessment. These tests provide valuable clinical insights and may incur an out-of-pocket fee. Our team will always explain any recommended tests and associated costs before proceeding.
Prescriptions & optical dispensing
All prescriptions provided by our optometrists are based on clinical assessments conducted at the time of your eye examination. If you experience any issues with your vision following the dispensing of your glasses, we encourage you to contact us promptly so we can review and assist.
Our guarantee
We stand behind the quality of our eye care and eyewear.
Prescription change guarantee
If your prescription requires a change within 3 months of your purchase, we will remake your lenses at no additional cost.
Accidental damage guarantee
If your glasses are accidentally damaged within 12 months of purchase, we offer a replacement at 50% of the original purchase price.
Manufacturing warranty
All eyewear is covered against manufacturing faults. Warranty periods vary depending on the product, typically ranging from 12 to 24 months. Specific warranty details will be provided at the time of purchase.
Ongoing Care
We offer complimentary cleaning, adjustments, and minor repairs for the life of your glasses.
These guarantees are provided in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Health funds, Medicare & payments
Be Seen Eyewear uses HICAPS to process on-the-spot claims for most private health funds, making your experience simple and efficient.
We also process eligible Medicare and Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) claims in-store.
Any remaining balances or non-claimable items must be paid at the time of service or collection.
Appointments & cancellations
We value your time and aim to run on schedule. If you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment, we ask that you provide as much notice as possible so we can offer the time to another patient.
Product availability & pricing
All products are subject to availability. Prices are subject to change without notice, however confirmed orders will always be honoured at the agreed price.
Limitation of liability
While we take every care in providing professional eye care and quality products, Be Seen Eyewear is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of our services or products, except where required by law.
Nothing in these terms excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Privacy
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Personal and health information collected is handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws and used only for the purpose of providing care and services.
